Senior Data Warehouse Architect
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for full lifecycle enterprise DW project including
scoping, planning, analysis, design, development & deployment. Person
must have prior experience overseeing successful enterprise DW implementations
and designing overall information & technical architectures. Person
needs strong consulting experience and skills with the ability to work
at various organizational levels.
Tasks:
- Determine initial scope and business drivers for data warehousing
initiative
- Conduct data warehouse assessment
- Create overall data warehouse program plan and detailed data warehouse
project plans
- Define overall information architecture, e.g. EDW, data marts, ODS,
data quality, data integration, information delivery and analytics including
privacy and security requirements
- Oversee creation of data architecture including source systems analysis,
data profiling and data modeling
- Define technical architecture supporting information architecture
- Recommend data warehousing technologies required for product architecture
- Direct the discovery process
- Design and direct data integration processes, including data quality
and testing
- Design and direct information delivery and analytics development
- Define and direct the implementation of security requirements for
the data warehouse
- Design and implement metadata strategy including business data dictionary
- Define release management, production and operational support requirements
Senior Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence
Program/Project Manager
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for managing development and deployment of full
lifecycle enterprise data warehouse project including scoping, planning,
analysis, design, development and deployment. Person must have prior experience
overseeing successful enterprise data warehouse implementations and expert
knowledge on data warehousing project methodologies. Person needs strong
consulting experience and skills with the ability to work at various organizational
levels.
Tasks:
- Overall planning, budgeting, resource allocation, design, development,
project management for enterprise data warehouse program and specific
data warehousing projects
- Participate in data warehouse assessment
- Oversee and measure implementation of business requirements and technical
specifications conforming to information, data, technical and product
architectures
- Manage project team(s) including data integration and business intelligence
teams
- Work closely with business sponsors, executives, business users, subject
matter experts (SMEs) and IT personnel
